The Homestead has tastefully furnished Standard en-suite double rooms and family rooms which is two bedrooms which share a bathroom. There are also air-conditioned deluxe room and an air-conditioned honeymoon suit, with a four poster bed, double shower and spa bath for two. Buffet style meals with plenty of fresh produce, are served in a comfortable dining room. Good company and friendships are made in our cosy Scottish pub, "The Tam o' Shanter". There is a Lapa braai (barbecue) area which is situated next to the swimming pool and the grounds are safe for the children to play in. The Homestead also has conference facilities, ideal for business conferences, functions and private weddings. The Guesthouse is centrally located half way between Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Durban and it's the perfect venue to host a successful event between all three major towns. Groups of 120 people can be catered for and there is a Gazebo which can be decorated with drapes, for the wedding ceremony which seats +/-125 people. For entertainment there is a DTSV Communal lounge, swimming pool, Games room, a pool table and a 9 pin Skittle alley and for the more energetic a Gym with a Sauna.
Visitors to 'The Homestead' and this area of the Drakensberg will find that it is conveniently situated for day trips to the Northern and Central Drakensberg where you can see and experience the Amphitheatre, Cathderal Peak and Didima Valley, Champagne Valley. Injisuthi, Spionkop Game Reserve, the major Anglo Boer war Battlesites of Spionkop, Colenso and Ladysmith and our own Tintwa and Middledale Pass valley with ( 4 x 4 ) Beziudenhout’s Pass and Kwaggashoek Game ranch.(16 kms away). It is here you will be able to experience the most wonderful and affordable Game Drive (T4 x 4 - their vehicles) and where you will see White and Black Rhinos, Giraffe, Zebra, Hippos, Buffalo, Wilderbeest and much more.
Various activities are available in the surrounding areas and you will find entertainment for the whole family, including arts and craft centres, Drakensberg boy's choir, golf courses, horse riding, fishing, hiking trails, 4x4 and Mountain biking trails, bird watching, and you could participate in many action adventures such as quad biking, paint ball shooting, zip lines, Canopy tours and much more.
